A sixty-year-old biscuit company. A portfolio worth more than the market cap. The business valued at zero. Buffett found the same trade in 1958. He had votes. We do not.
This was really well done! Your writing style is engaging and accessible, regardless if the reader is an experienced investor, has finance expertise, or simply a layperson. There’s valuable lessons in honesty, patience, divergent and critical thinking, all presented in an easy, flowing style. I’m impressed and looking forward to reading more. Thank you, it was kind of inspiring.
The only negative: you make reading annual reports sound fun, almost cool. Ha!
I am a great fan and reader of Swen Lorenz ( undervalued-shares.com ) you probably know him. This piece resembled his works. I really enjoyed and appreciated!
I sent him the link...I believe you could have great discussions with each other! And I also recomend you to get jn touch with him, for any cooperation. He organizes events, your work and approach totaly fit into, and the level and quality I think also above the thresold. Online conference on arbitration and litigation investing, or opportunities in Ukraine, and also the so called Weird Shit investing conf, collecting strange, uniq ideas from around the globe.
Have you tried to contact the CEO or the C.G.Panasfaleia Holdings Ltd since you usually reach out? I have a hunch that they are somehow related as they haven't made any public demands even though they hold a large position.
Bravo - a great read, thank you! I don't know how you have the time. One day I will get round to reading the 60s Buffett letters - I have them somewhere on my laptop.
Can I ask how you access these shares - through a Euro broker like DeGiro or XTB?
Thanks, Tom! I'm sure you'll enjoy reading his letters when you find the time! I read them on the sly.
To be honest, this company is a bit tricky to buy into, yet another reason for the discount. In my case, I have an account in Cyprus, since I don't think IBKR offers access to it. I'm not familiar with Degiro or XTB, though it's probably difficult. Take this post as food for thought!
Hi Tom, I just created a whole site about how to access more obscure markets, launched today! For Cyprus, Degiro doesn't give access , they just have Greece, and some Cyprus companies are available on the Athens exchange but not Frou Frou. XTB I dont know, but the only multi-country broker Ive found that supports Cyprus is Exante and they are actually based on Cyprus. Otherwise it's a local Cyprus-only broker.
Amazing - thanks! XTB are Polish - I looked at the stock once as performance was quite something, but wasn't comfortable about founder. They have been advertising in the UK.
Thank you for this article. Not only well written—and clearly not ai generated, but also impressive, in that you are genuinely open and transparent, and honest, in the age of fast money, clicks, and engagement.
Thanks, Lindsay. At the end of the day, I’m looking to make a profit just like anyone else. Without honesty, we’re just making things harder for ourselves.

haha, that made me laugh. thank you drb ☺️
Good. I liked the part about control. Too many writers forget about such a tiny nuance.
thank you andy

Hi, Akos. Thanks for the message. To be honest, I hadn't heard of it before. I'll check it out. Thanks for sharing. ☺️

I did that, I'll try again, I didn't get a response. Thanks for the suggestion. I'll keep you posted.
